TAG Week

Monday, February 26—Friday, March 2, 2018

Monday, Feb. 26 - Friday March 2018

Every day we are thankful for donors who support the great things happening at UB. So much so, in fact, that we’re dedicating an entire week to thinking about giving and thanking donors!

On this page:

What is TAG week?

Giving comes alive at UB during TAG Week through student activities and education, donor events and showing our gratitude. This week, UB students, faculty and staff will be reminded how philanthropy impacts them, and the numerous things—from programs, buildings, equipment and activities—that would not exist without the generosity of UB donors.

TAG Week stations will be set up throughout the week on the North and South campuses to demonstrate the impact of giving to UB, and to give away some UB gear. Students, faculty and alumni share their experiences with giving all week by writing thank you notes to donors, snapping photos, and posting on social media.

Get involved!

Students, faculty, staff and alumni can all participate in TAG Week, in person or on social media.

Share a photo or a fact you learned about giving with #UBThanks on FacebookTwitter, or Instagram. You can even use our TAG Week geofilter on Snapchat and certain campus buildings throughout the week will have unique filters just for them!

Scheduled events

Monday, Feb. 26

Kick-off! Follow #UBThanks on social media (and create your own posts too!) Students can write thank you notes to donors throughout the day. Find TAG Week signs all around campus, and visit the station in John and Editha Kapoor Hall on the South Campus. Thursday, March 1: TAG Day

Students can write thank you notes to donors throughout the day, at TAG Day stations on the North Campus (Natural Sciences Building, Jacobs Management Center, Baldy Hall, and O'Brian Hall), the South Campus (Kimball Tower, Harriman Hall and Hayes Hall), and the Downtown Campus at the new Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.

Friday, March 2

Students and the donors who supported their scholarships will have a chance to meet and have lunch together on the South Campus.

TAG stations

TAG stations will be set up around North and South Campus where you can participate by taking photos, writing a thank you note, or getting some free UB gear! Each station will include “tags” on items that were made possible by generous donors, showing that philanthropy can change lives.
