“UB gave our mother strength, confidence and joy.”

In 2008, Sharon Bob Young, BA ’71 (left) and her late brother, Richard Bob, BS ’67 (right), honored the memory of their parents, Isadore and Ruth Bob, with a gift of art to the UB College of Arts and Sciences. The sculpture—Cayuga Lake Landscape, 2003—stands near the Office of Admissions, where Ruth Bob worked for nearly 20 years. “The students loved her as she loved them,” Young said. A higher education specialist on policy and regulation, Young lives in Washington, DC; her brother died in 2009.
