“Thanks to you, I'll work with the military families who
give so much to this country.”
Samantha Janosick has packed a lot into her first 22 years, but
she hasn’t arrived yet. Her destination is a career as an
Army social worker. Graduating from the BA-MSW program, Samantha
will now book the 3,000 hours of supervised clinical practice she
needs for licensure and then enlist. Through her field placement in
the trauma intensive care unit of a county hospital, she’s
already had a close-up view of bad things that can befall people.
In addition to going from high school to an MSW in just five years,
Samantha has been a summer school instructor in Boston, Mass., a
graduate assistant and a community volunteer. Once she’s in
the Army, she plans to earn a PhD. In the MSW program, Samantha had
a scholarship supported by gifts like yours—we know
she’ll make you proud.
