When the baby boom generation reaches old age, their numbers will overwhelm existing care systems. Fortunately there is still time to get ready: the oldest boomers won’t reach 85 for another 20 years.

Our brightest students reach for opportunities that may lie just beyond their grasp. The College of Arts and Sciences Student Assistance Fund closes the gap.

The Florence Nightingale Fund is an important resource that promotes the continued growth and success of the UB School of Nursing.

There is a great deal of evidence now that diet affects cancer risk. That connection wasn’t obvious, though, in the 1950s, when L. Saxon Graham, Professor and Chair Emeritus of the Department of Social and Preventive Medicine, began breaking new ground in cancer epidemiology.

The Educational Opportunity Program at UB supports motivated and talented students who—because of inadequate financial resources and academic preparation—have not had the same opportunities as other students.

UB uses a rolling dental office to provide dental care for more than 3,000 children in Chautauqua County every year. You can pitch in.

The Honors College at the University at Buffalo offers a small, elite learning environment within a large research university—the best of both worlds.

The UB School of Dental Medicine chose the Spanish word for mouth—“boca”—as the name of its program that provides free dental care in communities from Appalachia to Mexico to West Africa that lack access to sufficient dental services.

The University Archives houses the historically valuable records of UB’s academic departments, along with distinguished collections of faculty papers and archival manuscripts.

The Gifted Math Program offers advanced mathematics courses to exceptional secondary school students.

The Alison L. Des Forges Memorial Scholarship Endowment Fund—created in memory of the historian and human rights activist who died in the crash of Continental Flight 3407 near Buffalo in 2009—will support Buffalo Public Schools graduates who are committed to studying human rights and social justice.

The Parent Fund is used to improve student life at UB. It also provides emergency funds to individual students who face unexpected financial needs.

The UB School of Social Work has a partnership with Amrita University in South India. The two recently created the UB/Amrita Social and Behavioral Sciences Research Institute.

The Office of Science, Technology Transfer, and Economic Outreach (STOR) helps transform the inventions of UB faculty and students into products and services that benefit society.
