The Honors College at the University at Buffalo offers a small, elite learning environment within a large research university—the best of both worlds.

There is a great deal of evidence now that diet affects cancer risk. That connection wasn’t obvious, though, in the 1950s, when L. Saxon Graham, Professor and Chair Emeritus of the Department of Social and Preventive Medicine, began breaking new ground in cancer epidemiology.

When the baby boom generation reaches old age, their numbers will overwhelm existing care systems. Fortunately there is still time to get ready: the oldest boomers won’t reach 85 for another 20 years.

The UB School of Dental Medicine chose the Spanish word for mouth—“boca”—as the name of its program that provides free dental care in communities from Appalachia to Mexico to West Africa that lack access to sufficient dental services.

The Gifted Math Program offers advanced mathematics courses to exceptional secondary school students.

The Institute of Jewish Thought and Heritage is expanding its efforts to attract faculty and students, develop academic and community outreach programs and build its infrastructure and resources.  

UB uses a rolling dental office to provide dental care for more than 3,000 children in Chautauqua County every year. You can pitch in.

The Office of Science, Technology Transfer, and Economic Outreach (STOR) helps transform the inventions of UB faculty and students into products and services that benefit society.

The Parent Fund is used to improve student life at UB. It also provides emergency funds to individual students who face unexpected financial needs.
