A fellow triathlon swimmer’s accidental kick to Jarrod Shoemaker’s face started a downward spiral for the former Olympian.

UB Nursing graduate Patricia Garman could not have predicted the range of studies that would result when she established an endowment in 2004 to fund research in behavioral health nursing.

Aaron Krolikowski, BA, BS ’09, went to Tanzania to study agricultural development on his study-abroad trip funded in part by UB donors. But, as a resident of the Great Lakes region, he ended up finding water issues more interesting and relevant to his own life.
