The Parent Fund is used to improve student life at UB. It also provides emergency funds to individual students who face unexpected financial needs.

Funds from this source have been used to help UB students in direct, positive ways, including improving safety by purchasing additional bicycles for the UB Police bike patrols, creating alcohol-free, on-campus weekend activities for students and increasing the number of Late Night UB social programs and implementing more stress-relief and healthy-living programs and initiatives.

The Parent Fund has helped expand students’ career horizons through international career research tools, programs to help students identify and focus their studies on their strengths and by providing resource tools to the University Libraries.

The Parent Fund also is used for the UB Students First award, an emergency fund for students who face unforeseen financial needs.
