Dear Classmate,
Well, we made it and we’re glad to be graduating. Like us, you’re probably excited and a bit anxious about the future. But one thing is for sure, we know we can make a difference by donating to the Senior Challenge. And we invite you to join us.The Senior Challenge is a way for graduating students to say “thank you” to the University at Buffalo by making a financial contribution of $20.07 – in recognition of our class year.
Why should you give? You probably think we’re crazy to ask for money when you haven’t even graduated yet and times are tough. But times are tough for UB too. State funding only provides one third of the cost of our education. The Senior Challenge, along with ongoing alumni support, helps to maintain UB’s reputation of academic excellence and ensure the lasting value of our degrees.
Where will your money go?You may designate your gift to any UB school or program of your choice. Also, a portion of the money raised will purchase the Senior Tree, to be planted on UB Pride Day on May 1.
How can you participate?A fellow student will be contacting you by phone asking for your gift. You can make a gift by check or credit card, or you can make a pledge. A pledge is simply a promise made in good faith that you will pay later. For your convenience, make your gift online at www.giving.buffalo.edu/seniorchallenge.
When you receive your phone call, please consider making a gift of $20.07. Our main goal is participation, so gifts of all sizes will make a difference. Thank you!Sincerely,
