Why Give to the Annual Fund

You Help Students
Your gift provides much-needed dollars to fund our highest priority --helping bright, well-qualified students fulfill their dreams of obtaining a quality law degree. Last year some portion of every contribution to the Annual Fund was distributed to a deserving student.

You Help Faculty Pursue New Ideas
Your gift allows us to significantly increase support for faculty research, so that they may pursue new ideas, strengthen their teaching expertise and continue the tradition of excellent mentoring at UB Law.

You Help us Prepare Students Better
Your gift helps us provide first-rate technology and facilities so that we can send students into the working world better prepared.

You Help Fill in the Gaps
The state no longer funds 90 percent of our budget as it did a few years ago. UB Law is now "state-assisted" with only 30 percent of budget now provided by taxes.

You Help Improve Our National Rankings
You help us to improve our ranking by giving a gift of any size. Alumni giving participation is one component of the formula used in US News and World Report and other published rankings. A better ranking translates into better student and faculty recruitment.
