Senior Traditions

Planting the Future!

The year 2004 marked a new tradition for seniors at the University at Buffalo. As an addition to the Senior Challenge, each year a tree will be planted in front of Capen Hall along the Flint Loop in honor of each graduating class. A plaque will be mounted at the base of the tree with the class year and message engraved. In years to come, you will be able to see the procession of trees, from tall to short, signifying past senior classes. Not only will this help beautify our campus, but it will also recognize seniors and their efforts in the Senior Challenge.
