The Only Person Limiting Yourself is Yourself

by Jennifer Grant

There are so many opportunities to get involved at UB. The only person limiting yourself is yourself.

One funny thing that I remember from my freshman year at UB was there was a Billy Joel concert at Syracuse University in the Carrier Dome. I wanted to go so badly, but there were no tickets left anywhere.

A roommate of mine came into the dorm room one night so excited. She knew I wanted to go see this Billy Joel concert, and she said, "Guess what? A good friend of mine has two extra tickets to go see Billy Joel. He's a member of the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy Club." There was a Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy Club at UB! UB actually had this student group!

So we all piled into the student van to go to the concert; it was an experience. I don't know if the administrators knew we were using the van for this purpose, but I went with this club and had a great time.
