The Best Building on Campus

by Kowk-Yin (Gary) Ma

I love photography and Professor Tyrone Georgiou had interesting thoughts about my photos. I did a lot of abstract photography. I think he liked my style a lot.

But I only took photography for one semester. I still take photos and use a dark room. That's one of my interests outside of communication. I actually never used dark rooms before taking a course at UB, so I learned all the techniques of black and white and color dark rooms, all the techniques of mounting, and the entire process of photography. That really strengthened my artistic viewpoint.

I love the Center for the Arts. I think that's the best building on campus. Everything about it is so nice, like the glass ceiling. I went for a concert when Tori Amos was there.

But I was mainly in the Center for the Arts for photography. And since a photo takes a while to develop, I'd just walk around the building. They always decorated it to make it such a nice place. Like right now I know they have Christmas trees up and the entire place is decorated.
