Why should you support UB?

You want to support UB because "You are UB"! You are thankful for the high-quality education you received, and you know your support will help ensure that future generations of UB students have access to the same opportunities you had.

Did you know that state assistance provides only 30 percent of UB’s $1 billion budget? Donations from loyal alumni and friends may be used to support alumni scholarships, facilities, equipment, programs for alumni and students, and centers and programs that would not be possible without your help.

Alumni have historically been strong supporters of UB. At the close of the "Campaign for UB: Generation to Generation," 62 percent of the more than 74,000 donors were alumni.

You may also support UB through UB Believers, a dedicated group of Western New Yorkers from all walks of life.  As part of this broad-based advocacy group, they share a belief that a strong UB will lead to a brighter future for all of Buffalo Niagara.
